Shorty`s in Waterford

First time here, the service was great, my husband and I loved their fish dinner, best fish I have had, big, cooked to perfection! Not greasy, fries and Mac & cheese were very good ​too! We will definitely be back!

The bar food is a cut above, prices are fair, they have lots of specials. Trivia night is fun and not too crowded.

Good food and bottled beer selection, but this place loses all standing when a server trying to move past nudges an older gentleman on a walker out of the way on his way past asking him to hurry when the place was empty. Beware the guy with the dirty red beard.

My summer is never complete until I sit up top at SHORTY'S !The service is friendly and prompt (if you order food, tip heavy, they've climbed those stairs many times for you) Food is good, simple and enjoyable. They have great daily specials. And the view of the sunsets, car watching and just being above it all if bliss.

I have been going to Shorty's for a very long time. Shorty's is a hit or miss. You can have an amazing time there but also have a bad time. But it being close and local I will honestly say I will always go there. Besides the normal casual drunk person that could ruin your time. The staff are amazing, the cook comes up with/ or works with what ever you you... I would say over all Shorty's is a wonderful place to chill.

Shorty's is one of my favorite bars in Waterford. I don't drink alcohol, but the environment, bar layout, and food are inviting. Shorty's has a large selection of select beers that other establishments may not have on tap. There are two levels, with indoor and outdoor seating on both levels. We shared a delicious pizza with just the right amount of toppings, sauce, and crust/topping ratio. The wait staff is also very attentive. Even with the Covid issue and social distancing principles being observed, getting a seat and service is still not an issue at all.

Trying hard in rough times to make it. Doing a good job so far.

Fun atmosphere, good food. Good place to play darts. Bathrooms need to be cleaned a lot more thorough.

Great staff and modestly priced food/drinks with friendly atmosphere. Huge issue that the only smoking section on the bar is up an old wooden double flight if steps to the upper level. Also huge issue is the upstairs bathrooms are not usually available therefore you have to go back outside, down the steps, around the corner, back into the bar, just for a piss. Main concern is all of my experiences have been in the Winter Season so not only is the temperatures enduring, you also need to sober up and clutch the wooden banister back up and down anytime nature calls. Again, only a real issue, for Smokers, and the Clumsy...

All you can eat perch dinner was good

We are from out of state and was in town for a funeral. A group of us went to Shortys after the funeral for a drink and some food. I’m glad we chose this place. The atmosphere was nice and very friendly and the food was hot and fresh. 👍 to Shortys

Foods gross, draft taste wrong, mixed drinks have no consistency in flavor. It's the kind of bar that makes you feel like someone bribed the health inspector. Dart boards are set up on a short wall, so as you come in and round the corner your always at risk of getting hit by a stray dart. Sit at a table, the service will be quicker than the bar... or just go to a a dozen cheaper cleaner places in the area.

Bartender was more accommodating to one group of people. Had to wait for drinks not busy at all. When time to cash out waited 20 minutes to even get noticed. Shortys use to be our go to. Quit going for a while. Tried to give them a chance but won't be back. Drinks were so so. What bar does not serve blue moon. Sorry not sorry. Jerry and Dom you gave a lot of work to do. I felt invisible.

Iam from flint and there's just not many if any good places to go for music when i love this place great staff,food, and prices.

One of my favorite watering holes in the area! Really good bar food, strong drinks and a talented bartending staff. Great time on the weekends if you want to get out or a great stop during the week to hangout and grab a drink. Check it out when you get a chance.

The meat sample platter was FABULOUS .. only 18.99 The artichoke spinach dip was tremendous.. best food I've had in a very very long time .I highly recommend this place

Went to a friend's birthday party here. Nice casual place. A traditional bar downstairs, a dance floor and DJ upstairs that is open so you can smoke, and an outdoor area you can drink and smoke as well. My only criticism is the waitress we had downstairs was terrible, but that was just one person, everything else was great.

I went to karaoke on Wednesday with some friends to celebrate our birthdays. It was all of our first time going to Shorty’s and we weren’t disappointed whatsoever. Fun staff and energy!

Very awesome place and nice people

Place is shady. Don't feel safe/comfortable on the top floor at least. Bartender tried to pour me a drink that was so much sour in the long island that it physically hurt, even after adding soda when I paid for a premium/hand pour. Asked if they knew how to make mini beer shots, they said yes, and then turned around and asked how to make them to a coworker and surprise, it was not right.
